I have always found it difficult to define myself. Born and raised in São Paulo, I was, from the very beginning, a curious child who loved asking why and how. As a naturally-interested-in-everything person, my work over the past decade has revolved around teaching, research, and building connections between literature, philosophy, education, and cognitive science.
Since 2016, I have been teaching French language and francophone literature in a variety of contexts, from higher education and language schools to my own online teaching projects. Teaching remains one of the central threads running through both my professional and intellectual life.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy at the Université de Montréal under the supervision of Maxime Doyon. My research explores how immersive technologies (such as VR) influence the temporal structures of consciousness and the conditions of perception in the digital age, as well as what this means for the future of human–technology coexistence. My theoretical framework draws primarily from phenomenology, enactivism, 4E cognition and predictive processing.
Before that, I completed a B.A. in French/Portuguese Languages and Literatures at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas, proudly graduating as the best student of my cohort. My training included linguistics, phonetics, literary theory, criticism, didactics and language pedagogy.
My master’s degree at the University of São Paulo focused on the relationships between nature, technology and human experience in the Anthropocene. Through the lens of aesthetics, I explored the possibility of a techno-animism and new forms of coexistence between humans and technical systems. It was during this period that my interest in philosophy deepened, eventually leading me to pursue a second B.A. that provided foundational training in philosophy of mind, phenomenology and metaphysics.
Beyond academia, I remain deeply interested in literature and public-facing educational initiatives. I recently created a monthly sci-fi book club where participants explore questions of technology, society, perception, memory, and human experience through literature. Check it out here (in French only).
